1. If you could be any item of fashion, what would you love to be?

A bag without doubts. It’s the women’s world and it contains all her precious stuffs. It’s her best friend and it’s always with her during her days.

2. Describe your style in five words!

Eclectic, street- chic, thoughtful, sometime crazy, full of accessories.

3. Who is your favorite designer and why?

The three big brands I love more are Chanel for its great tradition, Balenciaga for its futuristic view of fashion and Alexander Wang, a real talented young designer. However, it’s a pleasure for me attending flea markets where I find some adorable vintage pieces and low-cost store like H&M, Topshop, F21 and U.O. I also love doing some online shopping.

4. You are the designer of the stuffs sold in abitofshopping right? Who inspire you in the design?

Yes, I also have a little online shop at www.abitofshopping.blogspot.com

My great source of inspiration is Chanel, my fav brand on earth. I try to revisit some icons of this maison, like the famous 2.55 bag, the classic pearls necklace or the tweed jacket. My creations are a unique pieces with a lot of applications like chains, beads, buttons, etc.

5. In this season, what is the thing that “a MUST” for you?

In this season there are a lot of MUST: clogs, floral prints and lace are the most important ones from my point of view. I don’t wear something just because is a MUST, but I think that every trend must be analyzed and modified according to your own personality and body shape.

6. As you got lots and lots of branded stuffs, does fashionable means by wearing branded stuffs?

I like branded stuffs, especially bags and shoes but I also like unknown clothes and accessories. I like mixing branded accessories and clothing with low-cost pieces to create a very personal and unique style.

7. What is your current fashion obsession?

My current fashion obsessions are two or three models of bags but I don’t want to reveal them because I’m planning to buy them and you’ll discover them on my blog, a surprise for all my readers.

8. Since when you start blogging? And what was the first thing that make you wanted to blog?

My blog was born in the 2009, November the 11th to be a kind of diary describing a journey into my world to discover my style, my creations, my personality and all that captures my attention in my every day life. I started blogging to share my style and compare my ideas with other fashion lovers. I also hope to enjoy my readers and always give them new and fresh ideas.

9. As my birthday is coming soon, what will you wish me? Thanks Melissa!

I wish you can realize all your dreams, with heart.

1.What does myrrh goldframe means? And why do you choose this name as your blog title?

I named my blog Myrrh after buying Myrrh scent of potpourri. I've just love the scent of spicy myrrh quite reflects my character.

And I add Goldframe because i adore Goldfrapp as my diva.

So it's similar to her, she's just too awesome. Great woman singer with great fashion sense everytime she performs.

2.How do you define your style? And where do you get your fashion reference?

My style is rough and rude. Honestly I love to dress up more rockish, grungy and street living for my daily fashion. Denim vest, destroyed jeans, leather pants, lace boots, and studded bangles.

I got my fashion reference from my fave musician icon, from the magz, from people on the street, from my fashion fantasy.

3. Do you have any fashion quote?

Yep. "I don't follow trend. They're just not my thing at all" -Leigh Lezark-

4. As a music reporter, is it a MUST for you to be stylish?

Actually I’m not a music reporter, coincidentally I’m a vocalist of electronic experimental band, also bands manager and radio announcer so it is close to music industry. In my opinion,

There’s no “MUST to be stylish" list to be working in such kind music industry. All I need to do is just follow the instinct of how we dressed according to our idealism.

5. And do you find yourself stylish? And how to judge someone is stylish or not?

Hmm.. I think its people right to judge whether we're stylish or not. I don't judge myself to be or not to be stylish.

me myself is always trying to dress up properly.

How to judge someone is stylish or not? if the person truly knows how to mix the dresses, the shoes , the accessories properly.

And if the person really knows what she/he wants to wear by following their nature sense of fashion. That's what i called stylish

6. Where do you usually get all those cool stuffs in your wardrobe?

I’m not particularly shopping fanatically for one store. i shop everywhere, anytime I found most interesting stuff I BUY. hahaha. Thrift store, online shop, branded stores.

7. Is there any fashion designer that you really adore? And why?

Sure. Sonia Rykiel. It's edgy, it's irregular, and it’s out of the box art of fashion. I love mostly Sonia's collection. Wish I could have one of the collections. Heaven!

Yeah! My birthday is gonna be so soon! Wish me something tante! Wohoo!!
*ps I called loreth as "tante"

Hey there, narcissus kiddo! wish you become an icon in the future whatever it is your community. Yeay!!!!

Are there any tips to improve my blog? And what do you think of it?

Hmm.. add more interesting photos of you maybe. It’s your blog. so it's all yours. hahaha. <3 . i love you. (*thinking of it)

idling.. due to my trip back home :)

1. Why do you choose “THE CLOTHES HORSE” as your blog name?
and how did you manage to start a blog?

I like the term “The Clothes Horse” because it is slightly antiquated, not many people use a clothes horse to dry clothes anymore and I do have a retro/vintage look. My family also happens to use a clothes horse. I also liked the fact that the term has multiple meanings and I wanted the name to imply that I’m the clothes horse and this blog is by me. To me, it left the blog posts more open-ended because it was a blog by a clothes horse (someone obsessed with clothes), rather than a fashion blog (like “The Fashion Paradise” or something).

I started my blog in the summer of 2007; I had just finished a six month stint studying in Japan and was back at my college in rural PA working in a lame campus job. I basically felt like I was going crazy and needed a creative outlet. I read so many blogs that it seemed like a natural thing to start my own.

2. Where do you usually get the stuff in your wardrobe?

There really isn’t “one” place; probably 50% is bought online through various websites and the other 50% is hunted down at antique malls, thrift stores, and the occasional chain store (I don’t live near chain stores or malls).

3. If you got a chance to choose, would you like to be fashion blogger that sitting in the front row of every fashion show, models, or fashion designer?

Is the question would I rather sit front row, or be a model, or be a designer? Currently, I’d love to be the girl who gets to sit front row because I really appreciate so many designers and it would be very inspiring to see them all up close. I might like to be a designer, but just a sort of niche person with maybe a small online boutique; I do like creating and have made a lot of accessories for myself. I would never want to be a model (and at 5’1” I don’t really see it as an option); it’s just not a career I would enjoy.

4. Can you tell us more about your passion in fashion? Do you sew or make DIY stuffs?

My love is really for personal style, or clothes as an extension of who I am. I used to be very shy and dress to blend, but as I got more comfortable with myself, my fashion became a way to express myself. I do sew and I like to make things, although I’m more likely to customize pieces than make from scratch. From scratch I have made a few skirts, purses, dress, and even a bow belt…but my DIY projects are very irregular.

5. What is your favorite quote?

“Behold I do not give lectures or simple charity. When I give, I give myself.” –Walt Whitman

6. Fashion and style are something that is different right? Can you tell me how do you find it different?

To me, fashion is very broad and tends to be more about the literal clothes. Personal style isn’t really about the clothes, or trends, it’s about self-expression; a lot of people with great style don’t stay up to date with the “world of fashion.” They don’t follow runway collections or know the hip fashion terms, but they use their appearance as a way to project who they are.

7. Lots of people might wrong to make the judgments that fashion is all about branded stuff, what is your opinion about this?

Fashion isn’t about brands at all—or shopping, people who assume that are completely wrong. Fashion can be art. Fashion is also a reflection of our time; our socioeconomic situation and culture. People can try to put fashion into a box, but they’re still wearing clothes and remaining ignorant to what fashion says not just about them, but their country’s history and current political/social/economic climate. Look at how flappers used fashion to express their desire for social and political change—clearly our clothes say a lot about us even if we aren’t conscious of it.

8. And where do you get all your fashion inspiration?

Oh, everywhere! I live in the countryside, so I’m inspired by the fields, lakes, and forests around me; especially color-wise. I also enjoy the style of different bloggers and find them very inspiring. In addition, I find inspiration in current and past runway collections, vintage films, and magazine editorials.

9. Yeah! My birthday is coming soon right? What will you wish me??

Oh, everything your heart desires. :) But mostly for a really beautiful, memorable day; possessions tarnish and fade, but your memories of a wonderful day spent with people who love you will last forever.

"Michelle Koesnadi"
Jakarta, Indonesia

1. During your weekend, how do you spend your time?

My saturdays are dedicated to quality time with my boyfriend and friends. We usually get dinner, watch movies and have some drinks afterwards.

2. Who are your favorite fashion designers? And why??

Karl lagerfeld and albert elbaz. They manage to incorporate the latest trend into a piece that is timeless.

3. How can you define style?

Eclectic and mood-based.

4. Which item that you have bought and you found it really worth-it?

Tough question..lol..since most of the stuff I bought are quite versatile anyway. I'm not the type who shops but ends up not wearing the piece. If I had to choose one, then it would be my charles david wedges (and I DID bought that with my own money!).. It goes well with my outfits and its comfy to trot around all day long.

5. From all of the brands you own, what is your all time favorite brand? Why?

For designer it'd be Chanel. For high street, Zara. Chanel is just timeless and classy (which is one of my style traits). And Zara is the place for me to get the "trend" stuff that updates my classic pieces :)

6. As you got tons and tons of items in your wardrobe, how to keep them long-lasting?

I'm actually a bad maintenance person. I tend to throw everything into the closet :/ which isn't good at all.. Lol.. I try my best to store bags and shoes into the boxes and fleece pouches they come in :)

7. When you are lazy to dress up, what will you wear but still let you look so chic?

Leggings, oversize tshirt, blazer, and a pair of kick ass shoes (plus sunnies if I'm still lazy to wear makeup..lol)

8. If you have a chance to move to the other part of the world, which country and city will you choose?

I'd go to Melbourne, australia.. I know its not that fashion-y but I just love Melbourne as a place.. :) I'd love to move to Paris but language is one problem I have to face and the other is that I have to get used to the food. :)

9. Where do you usually get the stuffs to fill in your wardrobe?

Zara for most part..some Wishdrobe.. And some from small multi brand boutiques :)

Ellevictoire & KNEON
Vienna, Austria

1. As it’s for my birthday, I want to know what will you wish for me!

a. First of all, happy birthday! I hope you’ll keep on being bubbly, sweet and stylish. Hopefully your next year will be the best so far.

2. How long have you been starting “ellevictoire” and who inspire you on blogging?

a. I’ve been blogging for over a year now and I was mostly inspired by Childhoodflames – her style, her pictures and her frequent postings still inspire me now, although my inspiration list has expanded.

3. What is your propose of blogging?

a. My blog is an output for everything I love and enjoy; art, fashion, photography…above all, the purpose of my blog is to document life in all its adorable facets.

4. How can you describe your style?

a. I’d say simple with an edge. My outfits are usually quite simple, but I combine them with interesting accessories and shoes to make them more interesting.

5. What is the difference between fashionable and stylish in your opinion!

a. Hmm, I’ve never thought about this, and I’m sure if this is correct, but for me being fashionable is wearing the latest trends and making them world well on your body. Being stylish, on the other hand, is not necessarily following the trends, but still making everything you wear look great.

6. Umm, do you think that someone needs to wear all those branded stuffs just to look stylish?

a. I don’t think they’re necessary for someone to look stylish, but they’re branded for a reason: their quality is superior and their design is probably better. But they are definitely not a must if you want to be stylish

7. Then how do you think I can improve my blog?

a. You have a great layout and a wide variety of topics. Maybe you could try and post bigger images with the same size/width– it makes everything look cleaner and organized; just a suggestion!

8. What is the fashion stuffs that is a MUST in your wardrobe

a. Blazers, mini-skirts and band t-shirts.

9. From which store do you shop usually?

a. H&M

10. What is KNEON means and how was the idea of making idea run into your mind?

a. I was very inspired by online magazines such as I Love Fake and Sokozine, and wanted to have one of my own, combining everything I love – fashion, music, photography and art. I found some creative people to work with me and KNEON was thus born from a simple daydream!
