Polka and Lots of Dots

Merry Christmas!! Yes I know we are a bit late but it's always better to be late than never!
So yes, if you guys have been following Gladys on Instagram, you guys would have seen this preview before! Yes, so we shot this outfit before Christmas but due to this and due to that, we just managed to upload it up now! Again, we are so sorry for that!

As we mentioned before the weather in Medan has been so moody (it has been raining since yesterday!) so an outfit that keep you warm but not too hot is always a perfect choice! And a pair of high top sneakers to keep the feet dry!

So here it is, that simple outfit that always work. Adding a little bit pop of colour to keep the outfit more alive! Stay tune for our last post in 2013!

Once Upon a Time,

 Rapunzel dressed in Jenny Packham

Cinderella in Versace (and the glass slipper) and yes if you notice, there is the medusa head belt on her too! The material somehow makes the dress look tacky on the other hand.

Tiana by Ralph and Russo. Absolute favourite!

 Pocahontas in Roberto Cavalli

Snow White by Oscar de la Renta

I could still remember clearly how my mom used to read me and my little sister the story of Cinderella and the other princesses before we went to bed when we were young. The beauty of the princesses and their perfect love stories fascinated us and we grew up wishing for the life of a princess just as described on the fairy-tales, perfect hair, big gorgeous ball gowns, beautiful faces, prince charming and everything else, except the villains.

As we grow up, we accepted the fact that happily ever after does not exist. We decided to bury our dream of that perfect yet unrealistic life ever since. But this year, for Christmas, Harrods has teamed up with Disney to brought our dream to live again. The princesses are brought to life and dressed in the designer frocks such as Versace, Oscar de la Renta and Elie Saab to delight their shoppers and tourists.
And it was not all about the dresses only, it was how they set up the whole background and how they create the harmony to be able to take the whole scene out of the story books into life!

Jasmine in Escada. When I was looking through the designer sketches of the dresses that these princesses would wear, Jasmine costume questioned me if it's gonna be arabic enough but in real life, she looks amazing in this Escada red dress.
 Mulan in Missoni

Ariel by Marchesa. Ariel's Marchesa dress was somehow disappointing after comparing it to the initial sketch of the dress as the train should be longer to create a better tail effect.

Belle in Valentino ( they definitely do not forget to let her complete her whole outfit with the Rockstud heels)

Aurora in Elie Saab. Elie Saab is just perfection. Aurora looks perfect in this dress although it was not exactly the same as what it was pictured in the fairy-tale but I believe nobody, even Aurora, could say no to this piece of beauty.
