#SHYGIRL

As God knows how hot the weather in Indonesia has been, it is time for crop top and short skirt to come rescue. As our parents had just recently visited Japan and South Korea, our wardrobe definitely got some new residents from those two countries too, and one of them is definitely this top with the rubber band trimming that gave that sporty feel and look!

Another thing is definitely the Play No More! Shy Girl bag which is also very popular and booming in Korea and of course, the korea fever always spread to Indonesia making it one of the most sought after bag at this moment! Glad that we managed to get it earlier last year! <3 p="" thanks="">

Colour//Pantone

New year, New post.. as promised. Here is the first outfit post of 2014 wearing a colour that would be one of the pantone colours of 2014. Violet. As you all know, every year, we have different pantone colours of the year, like for example, 2013, which seems to be just yesterday, has Emerald colour as the colour of the year and so.

This year, Designers take a modern twist on the traditional for spring 2014 by pairing soft pastels with vivid brights to create a colorful equilibrium. Inspired by a mixture of blooming flowers and strong, confident women. Designers use color to refresh, revive and defy conventional wisdom.

And if you remember us mentioning about crazy weather, these few days, it totally changed. It became the no-rain sunny whole-day, that you would definitely not survive wearing a long sleeve these days. Thanks to the genius who invented air-conditioner definitely1
and so, Gladys picked this halter neck top in Violet to be matched with a pair of cotton shorts to make the whole outfit ready for such crazy humid weather. Pair the outfit with accessories with the same hues, such as the red maroon Chanel Citizen Bag and a pair of platform sandals from Charles&Keith Signature.

Polka and Lots of Dots

Merry Christmas!! Yes I know we are a bit late but it's always better to be late than never!
So yes, if you guys have been following Gladys on Instagram, you guys would have seen this preview before! Yes, so we shot this outfit before Christmas but due to this and due to that, we just managed to upload it up now! Again, we are so sorry for that!

As we mentioned before the weather in Medan has been so moody (it has been raining since yesterday!) so an outfit that keep you warm but not too hot is always a perfect choice! And a pair of high top sneakers to keep the feet dry!

So here it is, that simple outfit that always work. Adding a little bit pop of colour to keep the outfit more alive! Stay tune for our last post in 2013!

Ain't Laurent without Yves

Panda Cap c/o Grinitty / Jowies Ain't Laurent without Yves top (similar here) / Zara white pants with zipper / Vintage Chanel Backpack / Steve Madden Waltz Heels

Finally an update again after a long hiatus! We know that we have been such bad bloggers for not updating this space often but as usual, our excuse would be our too busy schedule! But fret not, Gladys finally decided to do a quick shoot with this simple outfit with black and white colour palette.

It is one of the easiest outfit combo to go with to be honest. Threw on a tee, jeans and a pair of heels and you are done. It is one of the easiest and also the most comfortable outfit one could have. Comfy and heels might not belong together most of the time, but trust us, this pair of Steve Madden has been such a perfect walking companion for Gladys for quite sometimes since she got them last Christmas.
and it never hurts to be a few inches taller!

Little Miss Bunny

Uni has been so intense lately that I definitely have to sacrifice time to blog and worse is, time to sleep. Well, for those who know me well, knows that I am not much of a sleep person actually. That I don't sleep early and woke up late. But in this kind of situation, suddenly it feels like I need the sleep so badly! I just don't feel like dragging myself off the bed every morning.

With that, I hope you guys could definitely excuse me for not updating this space, but let's thank Gladys to spare some of her time off the busy schedule she has (well, all those private tuition things that I am so glad I don't have anymore in my life!). The weather here has been so dry these days and so is the weather in Medan.

So to anticipate the dry weather, shorts are definitely the best solution for it, Gladys paired it with her Gingersnap long-sleeve tee from years ago, we got it because it has a bunny on it and bunny is Gladys's Chinese zodiac! Accessorize the look with the Fluo Pink Céline Nano that without fail will add some touch of fun into an outfit! Last but not least, pair of grey and silver platforms from BCBGMaxazria to give in that tall and lean effect.

And, if you have been wondering what was peeking out from the front pocket of the Nano bag, they are the lovely pair of the Limited Edition Sonny Angel from the Valentine's Edition. They are also the only two that have the fluffy tails!

The Oversized Tee

Yes, I know what you guys probably think. "YSL is so last season since it's all about Saint Laurent now", but we are considering ourselves as lucky as we manage to snap this tee (actually we got two! but Gladys was wearing mine) before they actually stop producing this. To my knowledge, there are still a few pieces available in the YSL store in Marina Bay Shoppes!

So yeah, since it is a bit oversized, we were trying to tuck the tee into a skirt to make kind of cupcake top but it just looks weird so we decided to give it a go with this maroon pants with leather lining on the side from Zara. To make the whole look doesn't look too boyish, Gladys was wearing the Steve Madden "Walltz" heels which is super comfortable.

Scarf-Printed Skirt

I still could not believe how fast time flies that I am already back in Melbourne and getting ready to begin another new journey as an architecture student.
Anyway, here's the outfit that Gladys wore to a casual family gathering. This time round, she was wearing the blue scarf-printed skirt from one of the shop in Chadstone Shopping Center which I could not recall what was it called with a white Zara top and accessorize the look with my Tag Heuer Mikrograph with Alligator Strap. This watch has to be one of the best present I have ever received.

What comes in between Red and Pink

恭喜发财
As an avid lover of the colour pink, this Brink Pink dress from the Australian brand, Dotti, has totally become Gladys' perfect ready-to-go dress these days. The simple cutting of the dress makes it suitable for just a Sunday Out or wear it with a statement necklace and pumps and it is all ready for a dinner or party.

This time, Gladys is styling it with the Louis Vuitton "LV" Twist Closure Clutch, and studded black ponyhair loafers from Zara.

The clutch is a Limited Edition Epi Leather clutch that nobody even remember it existed until we did the spring closet clearance thing in time with the CNY! We always love to do it as we never fail to find some vintage and rare gems! This time round it is definitely this clutch! And to our surprise, it is still in such mint condition despite the age of it which we assume would be even older than us!

Spring

(1)
Camellia in the Royal Botanical Garden. So few weeks ago, I went to the Botanical Garden with my classmates just for our principles and elements project but nobody enjoyed it as we had our symbolism project (did I tell you I didn't sleep finishing it?) due after the trip. So the next weekend, we went there again to snap more photos.

 (2)
Went to Victoria Market with Cheryl and Sara last weekend to grab some coffees and doughnuts before going around to snap photos around the city and coffee hunting. was wearing my favourite Zara white shirt, worn-out Levi's, and Bally bag.
We went back the next day and had mini pancakes and some Turkish Gozleme which were yum.

(3)
Current Wishlist: Christian Louboutin "Stage" Shoes. This is exactly what I need to join the shoe family now as one of my babies passed away few days ago after being soaked in rain several times. one of the sole is totally broken.

 (4)
Favourite place in Melbourne: Collins Street. No explanation needed. It just feels like being in Paris or New York. Beside being totally more expensive.

(5)
Golden Prickly Wattle from the Botanical Garden. (thanks to Fiona for clarifying)

Jet Lag

Well, not that I am still feeling jet-lag. Honestly I didn't even it at all. My body could operate as normal as possible starting from the first day I reached Melbourne. It is this song by Simple Plan that is reminding me much of my beloved ones back at home, and definitely gonna be the song I gonna sing in the shower! Like seriously, although it's just a 4 hours difference, 3 hours for this season, trying to figure out the times sometimes still drive you crazy, when you wake up everyone back home is still sleeping! And knowing the fact that yourself is just so faraway, definitely make your heart feel a lil bit of Jet-Lag.
Now, I am sounding like someone who had never been faraway from home before, but looking back to the past 8 months that passed so quickly, the fun, the coziness and all the warmth I received definitely make me feel a lil bit of homesickness. No, I am not homesick. I am just missing them.
Thanks God I won't be alone anymore in a few months time!
Enough with the ramblings, here are some of the photos we took at the rest station during our journey from Jakarta to Bandung! The mood for Denim is definitely still there!
